BANTAM AAA

The South East Athletic Club’s bantam AAA team lost twice on the weekend, now on a five-game tailspin.

At Hockey Hounds Arena Saturday, the visiting Red Deer Rebels earned a 5-2 win. Josh Van Mulligen had both Tigers goals in the third period. Silas Currie made 33 saves, while his team only managed 21 shots on the Rebels net. The scoresheet only showed one penalty called the entire game.

In Calgary Sunday, the Tigers fell 5-3 to the Northstar Sabres. They never had a lead, with Van Mulligen, Brennin Wereley and Cole Unger getting goals and Beck Boiteau making 23 saves on 27 shots – Calgary iced the game with a late empty-netter.

SEAC hosts Okotoks this Saturday at 5 p.m. at Hockey Hounds.
