Make it five games without a loss for the South East Athletic Club midget 15-year-old team.
The Tigers beat the Calgary Stampeders 6-4 Sunday, following a 5-5 tie with Calgary Royals Blue.
Tied 4-4 through 40 minutes Sunday, third-period goals from Kieran Christianson and Matthew MacPherson were the difference. MacPherson had two goals on the day while the others came from Brady Mahar, Austin Derzaph and Ty Flaig. Christianson and Daniel Ganert each added a pair of assists while Kaiden Morin made 27 saves for the win.
That followed Saturday’s exciting finish, in which Blue got a pair of goals 32 seconds apart to take a 5-4 lead with 5:06 to go. Josh Drefs responded on the power play two minutes later to tie it.
MacPherson, Ganert, Mahar and Braden Patey had the other Tigers goals. Landon Porteous made 25 saves in their net.
