MEDICINE HAT, AB — Kicking off the weekend at home against the CRAA Gold squad out of Calgary, the SEAC Midget 15’s dropped a 3-1 decision on Saturday.
Brady Mahar scored an unassisted goal in the second period for the Tigers, however a pair of CRAA markers from Landen Gulutzan and Tommy Drake sealed the deal.
SEAC’s midget team was plagued by a slow start in Sunday’s contest, falling behind 5-0 after 20 minutes against Okotoks in an 8-2 loss on the road.
Both of SEAC’s goals Sunday came from forward Matthew MacPherson to bring him up to a dozen on the season, while Okotoks’ Hayden Pakkala starred with three goals and five points in the victory.
The losses snapped a streak of five straight games for the Tigers with at least one point, seeing their record on the year slip to 6-4-3 for fifth place in the AMMHL South Division.
A chance at revenge will come on Saturday for SEAC however, as they host the Oilers at 4:30 pm at the Hockey Hounds Recreation Centre.
