On Friday December 13th the SEAC Midget 15 AAA Tigers volunteered at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen in Medicine Hat, AB serving a hot meal to around 100 people.
It was a great opportunity for the team to volunteer their time and give back to people in our community.
The boys helped with serving a meal and coffee, visiting with people as well as doing dishes and clean up of the centre after the meal.
The team really enjoyed their time spent at the centre and were invited by staff to return again next year.
On Friday December 20th the SEAC Midget 15 AAA Tigers went to Chinook Village in Medicine Hat to deliver wrapped gifts to seniors living in assisted living.
The team collected gifts for seniors in need at a home game in Medicine Hat on November 16th at the Hockey Hounds Arena and then worked with the Santa for Senior’s organization to deliver these gifts to seniors in our community of Medicine Hat.
The boys delivered gifts, sang a few songs and visited with some of the seniors. The boys were greeted with hugs, smiles and tears of joy by some of the seniors who sincerely appreciated the team being there.
The event was a huge success in terms of the positive impact it had on the boys and the positive feedback we received from the staff at Chinook Village.
The team plans to return to Chinook Village to spend time visiting with some of the seniors.
