HEAD COACH
Jason Wandler
Coach Wandler has 20 years experience coaching minor hockey in both the United States and Canada, from Initiation to US High School. He is in his 20th year as an educator, 12 years in Devils Lake, ND and in his 8th year with Grasslands Public School District in Brooks. He also has spent the last 20 years coaching baseball from T-Ball to High School and American Legion Baseball. He is currently the Head Coach of the BCHS Buffalos in Brooks as well as the Director of Baseball Operations for the Brooks Bombers of the WMBL. He is excited to have the opportunity to coach within the SEAC organization and ready for the challenge in creating a very competitive Midget 15's team. Jason and his wife Darla, have three children - Jaydon, Dax, and Jayley.
ASSISTANT COACH
Chad Baron
Chad has been involved in hockey for over 30 years as a player and a now a coach. He grew up playing minor hockey in Regina and played high school hockey, Junior A and Junior B as well as playing senior hockey in Sask. up until a few years ago. Chad has been coaching in Medicine Hat minor hockey for 5 years, both as a head coach and an assistant at the Peewee AA and Bantam AA level. This is Chad's first year with SEAC. Chad is married to wife Shana and the couple has a 2-year-old son named Kemp. Chad is currently employed at MHC as a Trades Instructor, and is focused on developing team and player skills through positive communication and hard work in order to prepare players for next level in a team first environment. He is looking forward to a positive season with the Midget 15’s
ASSISTANT COACH
Brody Hailwood
Brody was born and raised in Medicine Hat, where he graduated from Crescent Heights High School. He started playing organized hockey at the age of three, continuing up through Medicine Hat Minor Hockey Rep teams playing midget 15's, then one year of SEAC Midget AAA. At the age of 17 he signed with the Okotoks Oilers in the AJHL. Brody's passion for hockey has now led him to coaching, and he is excited to pass along his knowledge and experiences to his players.
ASSISTANT COACH
Matt Wong
Matt Wong is entering his 8th season as a full time coach in Medicine Hat. Using his background in goaltending, he founded King of the Crease Goaltending in 2009 after a successful Junior A career. He was runner up for the Rookie of the Year in the AJHL, and was twice named a BCHL All-Star as a member of the Victoria Grizzlies and the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. He is also the current goaltending coach for the defending AJHL Champion Brooks Bandits.
